Visit from Lisa & Adam

We loved that my very good friend, Lisa, and her cutie pootie little boy, Adam, stopped by last weekend to visit with us.

Seriously? How adorable is he!

Adam didn't want to share his Mommy.

Lisa - I love you more than you know!

Nightgown

We wanted to thank Jackie & John (also know as Peanut & Butter) for the beautiful pink & brown nightgown. It's so soft and so neat that it can be buttoned to be a gown or with legs.

So you might be asking yourself, "why do they call them Peanut & Butter?". Well -I'm glad you asked. We call Todd's parents Ellee & Grape (Gracie started calling Todd's dad Grape instead of Granddaddy)...and if you say Grape & Ellee fast enough...it kinda sounds like Grape Jelly. SO since Jackie and John are Grape & Ellee's very good friends...we call them Peanut, Butter & Grape Jelly! HA!!!

Gracie's 1st Manicure

Gracie went to Delaney's check-up with us and got her 1st flu shot. She was very brave and only cried for a few seconds - I was so proud of her. As a special treat, she got her 1st Manicure at Dollin' It Up Girls Spa!!! It's such a cute little spa...just for little girls!

When asked what color nail polish she wanted -
she gave her "I don't know shoulder shrug".
How cute is that little spa robe!?!

Getting Excited!

Guess who likes it!

Gotta love a good mani!

A little hand & arm massage.

I think I have a spa buddy!

Little Diva!

Admiring her pretty nails!

Flowers and sparkles!
(the flowers only lasted a few hours until she picked them off)

Delaney's Check-Up

Delaney went for a check-up on Sept 22nd when she was 3 weeks old. She's been gaining about 1.5 ounces a day (Dr. Caplan said he's happy with at least an ounce a day) - so it's great to know that she's nursing and growing well!!!

Stats for her baby book -
Weight: 9 lbs 3 oz (67th %tile)
Length: 21.5 in (80th %tile)
Head: 15 in (84th %tile)
Weight to Length - 22nd %tile - petite, maybe?

Tucker

Tucker is such a wonderful dog &
I love him with all my heart!!!

Playing Outside

After a long, really HOT summer...we're very excited about being able to play outside. Gracie had a blast kicking her soccer ball and running around the field by our house with Daddy & Ellee. Delaney and I enjoyed sitting on the blanket watching them!

I think we'll be signing G up for soccer next summer/fall.

Tubbie Time

After Delaney's 1st bath at home, I quickly realized that I am NOT a fan of plastic baby bath tubs - they're too hard, hold little water, and are really awkward to use.

So, I've found our perfect alternative...our laundry room sink! I hope Delaney won't develop 2nd child syndrome (a diagnosis I made up for feeling guilty that she's getting a bunch of hand-me-downs, because her nursery is yet to be finished, and NOW she's having to bathe in laundry room)!

She seems to love it, unlike when she had her 1st bath in the legitimate baby tub - but that could have been because big sister was "helping"). So...her baths will continue to be in laundry room sink and after big sister goes to bed because we don't really need the extra help (no offense G).

If she could talk -
"Seriously? The laundry room sink!
It's because I'm the 2nd child, isn't it?"

Well...this isn't so bad after all!

Just chillaxin'
