4 months old

WOW these last 4 months have gone by so quickly. Gracie is growing up way too fast. We're super excited watching her grow and as she learns new things but, at the same time, we're sad that our little baby isn't so little any more.

Weight - 16 lbs, 4.5 oz (95th percentile)
Length - 27 in (>95th percentile)

Here she is on the scale at our doctor's office.

Some things about Miss Gracie at 4 months:
Loves her hands. Takes her pacifier out of her mouth, plays with it, and chews the plastic sides. Has discovered her feet. Gurgles and coos (such sweet noises). Laughs (kinda comes out of no where - it's hard to figure out what she finds so funny). Loves to be outside (especially now that all the snow is gone and the temp has been in the 70s - lovin' it). Loves her Sassy Seat (doorway jumper) - doesn't jump just yet but loves to spin and stand. Likes napping in Mommy and Daddy's bed. And of course, still loves bath time.

Lately, Gracie doesn't like bedtime. She loves our evening routine of her bath, nursing, and reading a few books but shortly after we lay her down in her crib she cries and cries. We attempted to let her work it out on her own but she gets so upset and then it takes a while to settle her. I've just started reading "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" and we're working on moving her bedtime a little earlier. It just breaks my heart seeing her fight going to sleep when I know that's exactly what she needs. Wish us luck as we help her fall asleep on her own a little earlier each night.

Here are some cute pictures from this week:

Todd and Gracie on the back deck.
Gracie loves standing in the grass.

I love holding my sweet girl.

There are those toes!!!

Gracie's whole face lights up when she smiles!
She has such a sparkle in her eyes!

Too cute during Tummy Time.
That's not a tooth - or not yet...but she is drooling a bunch.

Aunt Katie got this for Gracie to wear next winter. I'm a little worried she might out grow it by then so I had to try it on her now. Seriously...what a cutie!

Seriously I need to snuggle with her! She is so adorable! That book will be the best thing ever for her sleep! It works wonders! Good luck and let me know if you need any tips.
