Anniversary Evening

Our friend Katie watched Gracie while Todd and I went to Suwanna, a Thai restaurant, for our anniversary dinner. Gracie had so much fun with Katie while we were gone. She played in her little frog pool, hung out on the deck, had mac 'n cheese for dinner, and Katie even gave her a bath! Gracie was just getting out of the bath when we walked in the door - so we got a naked baby welcome home hug! It was too cute. Thank you so much Katie!!!

Katie taught Gracie to make a "silly" face by squeezing her cheeks. Here's Gracie attempting to show us her "silly face"!

Every Thursday night the sailboats race. There must have been 15 boats - so fun to watch and so beautiful!

Not exactly sure what's up with Gracie's face in this picture but I think it's because she's sick thinking about Katie moving away next week.

Another silly face. She must be shocked that her parents have been married for 4 years.

I love my family!

And then we took Tucker for a walk!

Going Away BBQ

Our good friends, Katie and Dave, will be moving to Alexandria, VA next week. We hosted a going away BBQ for them last weekend.

I worked really hard pulling weeds and planting flowers the week before the BBQ only for it to rain all weekend - turning the outdoor BBQ into an indoor party. Rain or shine - we still had a wonderful time.

One of the flower pots (in the rain).

Tucker patiently waiting for some food to drop.

Going Away Gift - A Bay of Fundy Rock Bowl

Hopefully Todd and Dave's career paths will cross again and we'll be living in the same city once again. We wish Katie and Dave all the best as they pack, move, and get settled into life in Northern Virginia! We'll miss you both so much!

Father's Day

We had a very low key Father's Day. The weather was yucky...overcast and really windy...so Todd did not get to play 9 holes of golf like he had wanted but he did enjoy snuggling with his girl while she napped and watched the U.S. Open (and I just enjoyed us all being together).

Cirque De Soleil

Friends of mine drove down from Moncton and we went to a matinee showing of Cirque De Soleil - Alergia. It was wonderful (the parts I got to see). I thought Gracie would have loved watching the show with the gymnastics, trapeze, and characters but I think the music was too loud. I didn't get to sit in my seat very much but was still able to see the show through the thin black curtains from the lobby. Oh well! We tried, next time I'll be going sans baby!

View from our seat -
can't see the stage but it is behind us.

Thanks for planning the afternoon Ingrid.
Look at her gorgeous girl,
Maiike (pronounced Micah).

Sweet, smiley Noah and Christina.

They all spent the night and we had a wonderful time watching the babies play, had yummy food, margaritas and girl talk in hot tub after the babies went to bed. It was such a fun time.

I see Girls Night Out in their future!

Brian's Visit to Canada

One of our bestest friends, Brian, flew in from DC to spend a long weekend with us in Canada. We had so much fun with Brian - as we always do. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast at our favorite place, Cora's. Strolled around uptown Saint John. Got super fresh lobster straight out of the Bay of Fundy. Walked around the Fundy Trail. And just enjoyed being together.

Thanks for coming to see us Brian!

Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC

While Gracie and I were home in S.C. we took an overnight trip to Columbia to see a few of my really good friends. We met up at the Riverbanks Zoo and had a wonderful afternoon seeing the animals, riding the carousel, and chatting while wondering around (it is such a great zoo; if you haven't been you definitely should plan a trip).

A big thank you to Katie, my high school friend, who treated us all to free admission with her guest passes. I really think everyone had a great time. It was so fun seeing y'all!

(I'm so bummed Ashlee & Campbell weren't in the picture with us - there were plenty of people standing around who probably would have taken a picture of ALL of us)

After the zoo, Gracie and I spent the night at Ashlee's. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for spoiling us. Dinner and breakfast were so de-lish and their house is absolutely beautiful.

Again, why didn't I get pictures? Oh well!

The Pittmans will be coming to see us in Canada in August - we can't wait and we'll take tons of pictures then.

Gracie and Campbell on their first dinner date!
