1st Bath at Home
Delaney's cord fell off after 9 days and I was definitely ready to give her a good bath - there's nothing better than a sweet smelling, soft, snuggly little baby!

Thank goodness for Moms!!! I cannot tell y'all how grateful I am to my mom (BeBe) and Todd's mom (Ellee) for helping us. My mom was here the day before Delaney was born and stayed until Sept 15th. Todd's mom was here the day Delaney was born and returned on the 15th and will be with us until Oct. 1st. That's right!!! I've had a solid month of HELP!!! YAY!
I don't know what I would have done without them...they are both wonderful in loving and playing with Gracie and I absolutely believe their attention to her is the reason she has not shown any jealously toward Delaney. (I'll let you know if that's still the case after "The Help" is gone). They both cooked us delicious meals, cleaned, and did loads of laundry. Not mention, loved on their newest granddaughter! It's just been so great having them here!
This was "shift change" at Reagan National Airport on Sept 15th! It could not have been planned any better. My Mom was flying out at 11:45 so we arrived at the airport around 10. We visited for a little bit and said our tearful goodbyes. We watched her go through security and then headed to the potty (yep, Gracie is POTTY TRAINED - WooHoo! More on that later). Then we sat and watched the planes taxi in, land and take off while we waited for Ellee's plane to arrive. Ellee landed at 10:45 - so that was a perfect change of grandmother shift.

Delaney & Friends
We couldn't be more thankful for our wonderful friends! This is a BIG thank you to all of our friends who have called us, thought about us, cooked for us, visited with us, and spoiled Delaney & Gracie with beautiful, thoughtful gifts.
I haven't been as diligent with my camera when people have stopped by but wanted to share a few pictures of some of our favorite people (more pictures to come when I don't have mommy exhaustion or forgetfulness when people visit). We can't wait to chat and see everyone again soon.

Life is Just a Dream
Delaney has been an ABSOLUTE dream!!!
This little girl is so good ~ it's a little hard believe!!!
I am loving every second with her!
She had her 1st visit with our pediatrician yesterday.
Dr. Kaplan was thrilled with her weight gain.
Hospital discharge weight was 7 lbs 7 oz
1st well check she was up to 7 lbs 13 oz
We need to do a little home physical therapy to help her with some gestational positioning with her feet. She's able to turn both her ankles to an almost 90 degree angle inward (which she should only be turn about 30-40 degrees). When she's happy, we'll work on gently pushing her ankles outward. It's nothing for us to worry about long term - so, all in all, she had a wonderful 1st check up.
